31 years ago, when you started the Prostate Cancer Foundation and started the Home Run Challenge, did you ever expect it to make the difference that it's made?
1:58
Well, we studied two things.
2:00
One, men don't get checked.
2:02
You have a simple blood test like checking your cholesterol, but men don't go to the doctor.
2:08
And so we thought the great American pastime, come out to the ballpark, remind your dad, grandfather, uncle, next door neighbor, brother to get that simple blood test.
2:18
So the combination of Major League Baseball and the awareness, particularly by the Dodgers and other teams, has made a difference.
2:27
And I expected the growth, but then I had a lot of friends by baseball teams, including the Dodgers, which has helped propel it also.
2:36
Where can people get more information to do their part? The Dodgers are going to do their part today, hitting home runs for Father's Day and the Prostate Cancer Foundation, but where can we all help?

How much has this meant to you over the last 31 years to be able to raise so much awareness for prostate cancer and also so many medical achievements to try to help, you know, not only cure it, manage it over the course of the last 31 years with your wife by your side?
27:12
Well, there are 4 million men today in America who we didn't think we're going to make it, who are living normal lives that have had prostate cancer due to the number one awareness program in America about getting checked, the Dodgers and Major League Baseball.
27:31
I guess Shohei Ohtani has really helped out on Father's Day.
27:34
He has.
27:35
We'll see how he does today.
27:37
He hasn't made all the 31 Father's Days, but he's picking up his pace.
27:45
And I guess he had his second child

34:18
Go ahead,
34:19
continue.
34:20
Well, John, I think you've touched something here.
34:24
By giving every kid... an investment in an index of stocks of the largest companies, most innovative companies in America.
34:36
And having the financial institutions agree that there are no charges, there is no charge to open the account.
34:45
There is no charge to manage money.
34:47
And you and I know how many people that these charges eat them alive over time.

Death threats from him about that and from Mike backing Reginald Lewis, to be blunt.
14:11
I'd love to hear how you were able to do that from scratch.
14:16
At Berkeley, I'd done my credit work and at Wharton, I had done my capital structure work.
14:21
So I had set out with really five missions when I went full time.
14:26
And I remember writing this letter that other people that were, quote, valedictorians of their business school class, that many others had chosen different routes, consulting, government, etc.
14:38
But I decided to go to Wall Street because this is where you allocated capital.
14:43
And so I had set out five goals.
14:46
One, the democratization of capital.

How did you think about assessing talent?
