How do you suggest an attorney balances that approach of knowing when it's important to minimize risk versus taking advantage of things that might have more significant risk, but move them closer and closer towards this end goal of running a self-sustaining firm?
13:49
Listen, if you don't think that there's someone in your firm that's using AI, you're sadly mistaken.
13:56
Someone is using it at your firm, whether you know it or not.
14:00
You need to get ahead of it.
14:01
You need to make sure that you talk to your entire firm.
14:05
You need to explain to them what is acceptable use of AI, what is not acceptable use.
14:12
We've got ethical guidelines.

And I think my other takeaway there from what you were saying in It makes sense hearing it, but I think is potentially counterintuitive to folks is that the flexibility is really a result of the strong infrastructure in place, as opposed to flexibility being a result of a lack of infrastructure.
33:20
So building on your point then, you know, would you say that the AI is absolutely going to help these smaller firms compete with the better resource opponents or could it create actually an even bigger advantage for those with the best tools already?
33:35
I would have answered this question differently 12 or 18 months ago.
33:40
I think today that the access to LLMs to AI is really universal.
33:51
Yes, it is for profit.
33:53
These LLMs want to make money, but I do think that they are all cognizant and allowing people, I mean, listen, you can have a free account.
34:07
You don't need to pay anything.
34:09
Now, I don't recommend, especially not lawyers, to have a free account, but the point is they're having this conversation that this is a tool that should be universally available.
36:55
In an AI-enabled courtroom, what skills will the best trial lawyers need more of?
8:29
I I'm curious, have you named your twin? Does it have a name?
8:33
No, it's just, you know, there's it's WWJD.
8:37
What would Jesus do? So it's WWMMD.
8:41
So what would Michael McCready do? So that's that's kind of what we colloquially refer to it.
8:47
But but no, it's you know, it's just another resource.
8:52
Where I think that, and we built this out, but the technology is becoming more and more readily available that I think that the future of most law firms is law firms will have an internal LLM.
9:09
Law firms will have multiple LLMs.

So I, what was the conversation like with your team when you said, Hey, I'm moving?
