With all of the passionate music fans out there, what was it about Gayle that was like, this needs to be documented all the way through?

Well, again, I think it stems from my fascination with people as characters and subjects and finding truth through exploring their stories.

But I'm just drawn to interesting people.

And sometimes it's not obvious why someone is interesting.

You sort of observe them for a while and get interested.

to the details, and then you start to find the magic.

Now, the story was not my idea.

so then going through the editing process there how much of it ended up on on the cutting room floor like were there specific things where you're like juggling should i keep it in should i not
