14:30
How many times have you told that story?
14:31
not too many to be honest because like it's sort of even now that he's he's left us it's it sort of feels like almost like a dream that i was actually in that situation um okay we'll go to the story so i just finished uh tour of california i was riding for rider bank at the time i was first year professional um yeah just moved to europe so my life was completely changing Just finished Tour of California.
14:59
I think it was Robbie McEwan's last race.
15:05
So it was a lot going on.
15:07
It was crazy.
15:08
Such a beautiful race.
15:09
Being in America, everything is just over the top.

Luke Roberts.
5:24
What's your opinion on the one tomorrow and for you guys?
5:27
Yeah, honestly, I think it suits our characteristics of our team really well.
5:32
Quite some long, flat, fast sections and then some climbs towards the finish that should... should suit the back end of our team that, yeah, it's probably a bit stronger climbers.
5:43
So I think all round package, I think it would be, yeah, suits our team really well.
5:50
And we've been preparing for it.
5:51
So let's see what we're capable of doing.
5:54
Obviously there's very strong teams around us that are, Yeah, probably on paper are going to be in front of us or really close.
9:21
I mean, you've won four stages, one green jersey, but what's your favourite memory so far in the Tour de France for you?
6:31
So it's hard to wrap my head around, like, you know, the severity and the impact of an accident like that, as you said, you know, hitting a fire truck, but can you, do you have any memory of what actually happened that day?
6:44
I have complete memory of the whole lead up, of the whole training, the corner exactly where it happened.
6:54
I think probably the best thing about it is I know that I didn't do anything wrong in the crash.
7:00
I remember myself, because I was motor pacing at the time of the crash and Basically, the road that I was on was basically slight uphill, and then we turned around, and then you go slightly downhill.
7:12
I even said to myself, I've done amazing training camp in Tenerife.
7:16
Everything's going really well.
7:17
I'm not going to take any risks on this descent.

Tell me your journey with the race, starting where you started and how it's come to what it is now for you.
90:31
My first experience with the race was when I was riding with Rabobank at the time, and Oscar Freire was our leader on the day, and he'd already won it I think two or three times maybe before I was able to race in the same team as him.
90:47
I just remember going to Milan and arriving at the team hotel, Rabobank.
90:51
It was my first big monument, big race with the team.
90:56
And I just remember how special it was being able to be nominated for that team, to be able to ride alongside with a guy like Oscar and learn from him.
91:05
I was just watching him every moment of...
91:09
From when I arrived to the hotel to when I left after the race.
92:08
Mate, just finally, what is your favorite San Remo moment of all time? personal one um a moment in the race you always remember fondly or it could be just something you remember from the race i'm not too sure it's different for everyone
