It makes you wonder if he went to that class because that was his old classroom.

Yeah, you know, Elizabeth, I think this is close to a dozen of these incidents that I've been on segments with you over the last couple of years to discuss these tragic events.

And quite frankly, there's so much to unpack.

I mean, if you look back at May of 2022, we saw this exact same thing unfold where a former student who was not enrolled in a school goes back to the same school, goes back to the same classroom in which he was a student at and targeted that classroom.

We don't know why in this situation.

But what we do know is this, is that the K-12 school security business has grown to be three plus students $4 billion industry where people are trying to sell more product instead of trying to sell more policies and procedures and to train people on how to identify these behaviors in these individuals.

Just like in Uvalde, just like in Santa Fe, just like in all of the other ones.

Okay.

Does the security protocols, do, do they need to be changed in some way? Or do you think that the fact that this is obviously a failure at an assassination attempt, does that indicate that the, the protocols are working?

Well, let's be clear.

It, it was absolutely a failed assassination attempt.

Mm-hmm.

It was not a failure on behalf of security.

Now, to the layman, it, it'll, it appears that that's the case because he was able to, to, to blow right through that mag checkpoint which, you know, quite frankly no one has actually reported accurately what that was, is that mag checkpoint was stood up initially from the onslaught of individuals that were arriving.

Once everybody was in their seats, the president, the vice president were on stage.

Some of these mag checkpoints then are decommissioned or deconstructed and taken down and then posted with armed officers which is what you see in, in the process of this video right here happening.
