yeah okay fair enough i suppose it makes sense um what's it like working with those sorts of minds and you know underneath tom but with those other colleagues you mentioned there having those you know i assume there's lots of little fun conversations and ideas floating around and little nuances that you're trying to you might build in you come an idea flicks out of nowhere and you go let's let's go here or let's try this so how does that all work is that fun along the way

I mean, you know, obviously Tom, I mean, he probably, if I'd have just stopped at reading his books on golf architecture, I think he would have had a really big influence on, you know, my ideas about design and the game.

But I think getting to sort of getting to witness his approach to it in the field was, yeah, really just an amazing experience and something I'm really grateful for.

Yeah, sort of watching, you know, an architect go about building a golf course in the field, you know, not rushing to make decisions about holes or, you know, even I think the 13th hole at Tara Heating was, and he decided that was going to be a, you know, a par three or a par four until very late in the piece.

And I experienced this personally, like, two days ago.

I was on the phone with a friend I met in Europe.

I was studying abroad in Austria.

he's protestant and we had started getting into a discussion when i was over there about our lady and about you know and of course he has and so i totally ate the bait and just heard all of his pre-set arguments why this and that why that why is idolatry and this and that and I don't think the most effective way, at least for our family, in my experience is not, um, to, to be missionary, like to, to communicate Christ to others and to bring them into union with him is not, is not, you know, hitting over the head of the Bible or drilling the, um, like just like, yes, speaking the truth, but like, it isn't just like randomly talking about Jesus.
