How is the method that you're using with the imaging, how is that improving patient care and maybe reducing burden?
7:07
Let's talk about the technology.
7:10
So the technique we're interested in is two-photon microscopy, which has had a really huge impact in life sciences.
7:16
It's used for imaging inside brains, understanding communications and neural circuitry in live animals, but it really hasn't been used in people very much.
7:26
So we've spent the last about, I guess, 10 years now adapting this technology for surgery.
7:32
And the really cool thing about it is it uses these really ultra fast, really short pulse infrared lasers.
7:38
And these are wavelengths of light that penetrate through tissue pretty efficiently.
