Reed BairdGUEST
But what was your like, Sorry to do the interview here, but like, well, your thoughts on when this was brought to you and like, you know, was that like a surprise to you? Were you excited to hear about it?

Michael FranciscoGUEST
Well, yeah, I mean, I think this is one of those, we talked about it, I think we talked about it in private before, but one of those universe works in mysterious ways type things.

Michael FranciscoGUEST
Because if you imagine while Reed is putting together his pitch, over on the Marvel side, we were also putting together our sort of pitch as well for what a fighting game could look like.

Michael FranciscoGUEST
Because we understand at Marvel that in gaming, a lot of the goodwill really originates from the old fighting games.

Michael FranciscoGUEST
I mean, that's where like Marvel has its prestige, like its classic prestige.

Michael FranciscoGUEST
And of course, PlayStation in the past blew us out of the water with Marvel's Spider-Man by Insomniac, you know, fantastic game.

Michael FranciscoGUEST
And, you know, people were always asking, you know, when are we going to do the next fighting game? And so what we started to do, me and my former manager, Peter Rosas, who actually goes by Combo Theme, one of the Evo legends, we actually started to put together a pitch so that our team was ready when we received pitches from other folks about how to make a fighting game.

You know, what was, what was that character that really went through a lot and a lot of changes, and you kind of all decided on, like, "Yes, this is the final version of how this character's gonna look and feel?"

Michael FranciscoGUEST
I think, uh, we went back and forth on how to reinterpret the character because she has a different origin in the story for Tokon.

Michael FranciscoGUEST
Um, so we really hope fans enjoy this kinda revamped origin and whatever she...

Michael FranciscoGUEST
The new design is kinda like this Trojan horse, introduced these awesome gameplay ideas that Arc System Works had in mind, where she's setting up holo crystals, and then she's bouncing laser from crystal to crystal.

Michael FranciscoGUEST
So she's, she's gonna be a terrifying zoner, uh, when the game comes out.

Michael FranciscoGUEST
What you think about when you think about the, the Danger room is that it's an obstacle course, so she's gonna make you run through an obstacle course just to get to her.
Daniel BaptistaHOST
For the rest of the group, any other favorite characters that, uh, you were just so excited to see brought to life in this style?
