If we test your
42:44
air inside.
42:45
So I think like constantly monitoring your water all the time and your air all the time Unless that's your thing, it's not that necessary.
42:56
Guess what? Your air has mold spores.
42:57
It has pollen.
42:58
It has heavy metals.
42:59
It has PAH.
45:56
And the reason the
11:07
Like, is it possible to reduce sickness in kids because of the environment that they're learning in?
11:12
Exactly.
11:13
So it's a living lab.
11:14
Jasper is a living lab.
11:16
It's like, how can you build a company that can thrive without marketing departments and HR departments? Can you build a school where the teachers and the kids are getting sick less and having incredible results? Like the real mission of the school is the kids should be more excited for Monday than than they are for Saturday.
11:32
And the worst feeling as a parent, I've been there and I've witnessed it a lot, is when your kids are not excited to go to school.
11:39
Right now, our kids are like, Monday, fun day.

What specifications actually matter?

8:39
Um,
8:39
So yeah, it started with the disaster work, but I called that sad money because we were doing the work, but I wasn't feeling the impact because we'd clean up a home and then it'd be recontaminated or we'd clean up the mold and then they'd have another leak or it'd be a humidity.
8:55
Their HVAC wasn't designed properly.
8:57
So truthfully, like our logo is a tree because I hope that there is a day where we don't need air filtration anymore.
9:03
Yeah.
9:03
If we are a little kinder to the planet and spend more time outside and open our windows and are nicer to trees, those are the real air scrubbers.
9:12
Yes.

32:05
Like, is there any testimonials like, you know, about asthma or something? Is there any that stick out to you about, I know there's so many, that's on the spot, but have you found like, I mean, older folks too, like they get really like lungs and stuff or have asthma and such, but it's really been shown to help those things, hasn't it? There are so many.
5:41
I would love your background on when did you realize the industry had some serious integrity problems, and what do people get wrong when they're in that phase of trying to figure out what to do?
5:49
So I got into the mold space, like, 2012, and I've been in it in a number of different ways.
5:57
I've remediated a lot of moldy buildings and moldy homes, so everything from, like, your kitchen leak, attic mold removal- Bathroom mold, roof leaks, but then also hurricane and flood cleanup where there's, like, whole home, like, big building floods and hurricanes where there's mold.
6:15
So I've dealt with the private sector, the insurance sector, the, like, small isolated mold event versus the flood where six stories of a building is moldy, so I've seen a lot of mold and damage, dealt with a lot of insurance companies, dealt with a lot of testing companies.
6:29
I also did testing for a handful of years, about eight years.
6:33
So we would go into people's homes either if they were sick and didn't know why, or if they moved into a new home and they were just...
6:41
Wanted some peace of mind, like they got a home inspection and then they also wanted a mold test to make sure the home was safe for their families to move in.

15:20
... what's the difference between an air scrubber and an air filter? 'Cause I feel like some people may not be familiar with the difference.
11:08
What about fragrances in candles?
11:09
Oh, man.
11:09
The worst.
11:10
Fragrances in general are the worst.
11:12
This is probably the number one thing we should be talking about.
11:16
So I believe that synthetic fragrances are the new secondhand smoke because secondhand smoke was, like, the greatest marketing campaign of all time because it used to be socially acceptable to smoke outside, inside, on planes, and if you would complain, you were the annoying one telling other people to s- mind your own business.
11:35
Then they did a little more research, a little more science, and realized, "Whoa, the secondhand smoke is impacting me just as much or more than you.

You know, and whether it's, it's PM 2.5 in the, in the outside environment or the volatile organic compounds that we're exposed to in our homes, I just think it's, like, it, it's crucial that we continue to raise awareness about this.
24:14
... as far as our sleep sanctuary and the importance of the air quality in our bedroom.
24:18
So for me, I stopped using the word sleep a couple years ago for myself because sleep is like a dormant word.Like going to sleep, nobody wants to turn off.
24:26
That's not very exciting.
24:27
I wanna be awake.
24:28
I wanna be alive.
24:29
Like being sleepy, you know? S- and I also, I never use the word tired.
24:33
I think that is really negative self-talk.
