Can you tell me about how life changes when McDonald gets in there as the head coach, for you and for the team as a whole?

Yeah, um, so obviously Pete was the oldest, you know, uh, coach in the league when, when he was here, and then we got Mike, and he was the youngest.

And, and Mike came in, and he was...

E- he was just himself and genuine, and he came in and, and told us, like, "Hey, guys," like, "I'm, I'm, I'm gonna...

I'm gonna do, do my thing, and I, I believe in you guys." And he, um...

It's been so fun to play with him just because, you know, he, he's so well-read, and he, he thinks about every aspect of the game, and it's, it's been, uh, it's been so cool, and we've learned a lot from, from him, as, as I did with Pete.

What was your first reaction to seeing that?

that?...

The pivotal punt in the NFC Title game that drew the fumble, when that ball comes off your boot, do you already know when it's sailing up there, "This could cause some trouble for the return man?"

man?"...

Yeah, you can do certain things to the ball.

And after the first one that he had trouble with, I was like, "I need to do that again." Um, and I told Dorique I gonna, I was like, "Just be ready." And yeah, he, he was- he picked it up real quick, didn't give the guy a chance.

So, uh, yeah, it's such a blur.

Like, in a moment like that, when everyone's getting around you, it's, it's, uh...

Yeah, it's just, it's just fun.

What's it been like working with him, a familiar accent? How important has he been for yourself and the team, and, and what you guys have been able to put out there week in, week out?
