If so, why? And when would you advise against that? Because we've got to make them somewhat sympathetic and relatable and all of these other things, but we don't necessarily need a point of view for them.

So, yeah, I'll say, I mean, I'll start, I guess, with from Beachwood Drive.

I mean, with Esther Furman being the main character, you definitely get a point of view.

But what I I really dislike writing in first person.

It's something that I don't know why, for whatever reason, I just kind of resist.

So I get away from it that way.

Instead, you get a narrator that's somewhat objective, that can kind of contextualize what she's doing.

there's so much value in recognizing when you have someone who rubs up in conflicts with the protagonist and causes them to grow or change or it affects the story but they aren't necessarily the big bad that must be conquered right like there there's villains who we encounter in the story that are different so and it sounds like Michael like your villain is also a villain light so maybe we could talk briefly about the difference between those two and and i guess you guys both talked about perspectives on those villain lights too and i'm curious as to whether that perspective is because they do have some sort of redemptive quality or because they affect the story in a way that is not all bad all negative um and that's why you chose to do that
