Well, my background's in theater and I kinda abandoned that route, but I still wanted to act.

I started getting into voiceover, different areas of voiceover.

And then I got curious about audiobooks, and I took a class taught by this producer, Paul Rubin, and I thought it was, uh, it really, I found it fascinating, everything that I learned in that class.

And I don't know, I just kind of, it, its opportunity is what led me to actually doing it.

Mm.

So I do what I call my phase two, where I'll take, like, my page goal for the day of the session, say I wanna get through the first 100 pages, um, and I'll skim back through them and take note of those bookmarks, make some notes in the margins that'll help ground me in the scene, get to know the characters better, so that I can walk into the studio feeling grounded.
