What strategies would you implement to ensure that ballot mail-in ballots are processed accurately, securely, and on time while maintaining the transparency and compliance with state and federal law?

Yeah, I mean, first and foremost, the job of the auditor is to implement the law.

It's to follow the law.

It's not to make policy.

It's not to make changes that is not allowed under state or federal law.

So that's first and foremost.

But secondarily, we need to make sure that it is absolutely clear how we are protecting individual ballots that are being returned, mailed out and then returned.
