How did they say, okay, we're not going to completely become a ghost town?
4:31
Well, and I echo that, too, because my background is a conservationist, and so I'm able to wear both hats at the same time.
4:39
I could, in my current life, I do what I can to protect nature, and then I could celebrate the history of a town and its foundations, but realizing that, you know...
4:51
A lot of what did happen back in the day probably shouldn't have happened.
4:55
You know, they're different, you know, hindsight in 2020.
4:59
What our town was able to do, at least it embraces that heritage as a logging community.
5:05
And we do have a friendship jamboree.

So is it just that part of the trail? Is that a national historic trail, a national trail, not a historic trail, but is it, or does it connect to others?

29:08
She's screaming into nowhere.
29:09
Yeah, yeah.
29:11
For the lighting project that I had worked on, trying to replace the downtown corridor lights, they're currently a 5,000 Kelvin rating.
29:19
I was trying to get them down to 2,200, the amber color.
29:23
And I had a lot of letters of support.
29:25
But what was nice about in the letters was how the amber colored lights made people feel.
29:31
So not only...

41:50
And so I think this is a great place for Michael to jump in because he knows an awful lot about this subject in terms of conservation and how that research can be applied across the full threshold of human biology.
25:18
Well,
25:18
Amy, you hit the nail on the head there with technology.
25:21
I know I'm in a rural area also, and I have a landline, and lots of people that I know in this community have landlines because when the power goes out, we don't have cell service in this area because it's how it's all connected.
25:35
And also...
25:37
Piggybacking on the technology bit, personally, I've always been an advocate of physical media.
25:43
And I'm kind of like, gosh, people just don't understand VHS and how great that was.
25:48
But what I'm really glad to see is Gen Z is pivoting back towards physical media because it's not just Gen Z, it's this universal technology.

22 MINS LATER

48:03
So but I'd like to pass it to Michael because I am not the expert on on that type of conservation.
