I think it's fair to say that the individuals who view this material are immersed in a world that feeds their deviance, that reinforces their deviance, that allows them to become numb to certain moral aspects to what they're doing so that their drives begin to manifest, to grow, to expand.

And in their case, that habituation leads to an increasing amount of depraved exploration, if you will.

many many ways of rationalizing their behavior and they sort of dismiss the notion that what they're doing could be irreparably harming this child because it's it's just too much psychologically to accept for many of these individuals they they have to find a way to rationalize it because the alternative is that they are truly monstrous and what they're doing is evil so they find clever ways to distort reality so that they don't have to feel pronounced shame and guilt.
