Mm-hmm.
50:33
Uh, there's opportunities for people to, to donate, l- like Major said, small o- w- and large.
50:39
Obviously, this is a, this is a large renovation project, and we're, we're getting close to the end, but we can always use more people.
50:44
Um, so when, when we're marketing, we're, i- it's also about information.
50:47
A lot of people don't know, even in Hartford, a lot of people don't know that there's a Marshall House and that there's a family shelter in Hartford.
ReeseHOST
52:00
Right.
52:00
It's just to, to give them some, some, you know, temporary needs and then pass them along, and the Marshall House is not, isn't, is not about that.
52:06
The Marshall House is trying to make sure that when you come t- come through our doors and, and you're at the, the, the lowest, lowest in your life, uh, but once you come alongside our caseworkers and, and, you know, fi- identify why you became, you know, y- you found yourself in the situation, um, you get job training, resume building training, all that kind of stuff, that, that once you get that stable housing that you aren't going to ma- make it back to a, a, a shelter.
8:10
And Michael, can you talk a little bit from your vantage point in kind of telling us about the Marshall House and just really how is it being utilized today in addition to what the major said?
8:19
Yes.
8:19
As Major Donald said, the Salvation Army Marshall House shelter has been in Hartford for 50 years, helping people rise out of poverty.
8:28
And one of my unique parts about my role is, you know, as a PR marketing person, I'm able to capture stories from all different parts of what the Salvation Army does.
8:37
And every single time I talk to somebody who has come through our shelter, Marshall House shelter, or any of our shelters, but especially Marshall House, they talk about it being a family, that it's not just a place to stay.
8:49
The other aspects of the Marshall House that they're receiving, it's safe.
8:56
Our case management, we're coming alongside those clients, helping them get back up on their feet in all sorts of ways, whether it's looking for a job, employment opportunities, resume building, but also connecting with other community resources, making sure that that they have what they need to be able to maybe break that cycle of homelessness.

Where is the gap, and what's the next to fill that gap?
