I really want our audience to hear those staggering numbers.

Yeah, absolutely.

So one of the big issues with animal models is the very, very low translatability rate.

And what I mean by that is that what we see in a mouse, skinny pig, dog, even non-human primate, And how they react to a drug or a chemical does not translate to how humans will react to that drug or chemical at a rate of 95%.

So 95% of drugs that pass through animal trials fail in human trials, either because that drug proved toxic and harmful to humans or because the drug did not do what scientists thought it would do.

It doesn't, you know, cure or help.

whatever they were targeting.

And do you find that the scientific community are open and willing and wanting to move to more humane methods? Or do you find that they don't care? They're just going where the money is? I appreciate that we're getting there, but how soon can we get there? If you've got some alternative and you don't have to use animals now, do you find that that's where the interest is?
