Tiene muchas cosas que a mí me encantan, eh, de los libros, ¿no? Y sobre todo el amor prohibido.

Era algo que, que quería meter sí o sí en una novela mía, pero la verdad que me inspiré en una historia real bastante triste, de unos amigos de mis padres, de mis abuelos creo, que una pareja en su luna de miel, eh, la mujer la secuestran, desaparece y nunca más la, la encontraron.

Y él intentó, o sea, dedicó toda su vida a intentar encontrarla y nunca apareció.

Y como que me la contaron esa historia desde, o sea, tengo recuerdos de siempre de saberla y me marcó un montón, ¿no? Y por eso para este libro también tuve que documentarme mucho, ¿no? De lo que pasa, la trata de personas, la trata de niños y, y bueno, entonces era por eso, escribir una novela un poco más adulta, con una historia de amor potente, pero también tocar temas reales y sobre todo con un personaje fuerte, femenino, que tiene-- le pasan muchas cosas y, y vamos a verla que, que crece y que no se viene abajo a pesar de todo lo que, que va a tener que vivir.

Y mi personaje aprende a boxear y un poco de defensa personal en la, en la historia.

So what did it mean to you to get to revisit these characters that you've loved for so long, that so many of your fans have loved for so long, and have this opportunity for an even wider audience to get to fall in love with Marfil and Sebastian?

It's been great, I love this story so much, and a lot of my readers always says that this is one of my best books.

I think it's because no one is expecting how dark and gay this story, like at first you see like it's a romantic movie with bodyguard and everything, and suddenly you're gonna find yourself drawn into a really dark thriller, and I love that so much.

I don't know, I love that this is having a second life, and it's amazing.

And now that my readers have grown up, I think they will really appreciate these movies a little bit more adult.

um so yeah i'm excited for people to watch the movie and the people that have hasn't read the book get the chance to read it

yeah absolutely i love what you're saying there about how there's such a combination of romance and thriller i love that when you look back on your writing process when you wrote this duology was that a challenge for you as a writer combining so many different elements of writing what do you remember about writing this story and approaching the storytelling

Yeah, it was like a really big challenge for me.
