What gave you the courage to start during such an uncertain time? I feel like, you know, that's very bold.

Well, um-I, I always say it was a midlife crisis really.

I mean, I think women and men, but I can only speak from a women's perspective, uh, go through something at some point, whether it's their, you know, mid-30s or 40s.

Um, there's a moment, you know, I have four kids, and there was a moment where...

And I was always busy teaching, volunteering, doing all kinds of stuff, but I had a moment where I was like, "Who am I?" And even though I had a lot of happiness and joy in my life, I le- I felt like I had somehow disappeared in the equation.

And this, coupled with my passion for collecting, y- I was like, "I wanna open a gallery." And at the time, you know, the way things were looking financially in my life, um, at that moment seemed like I could make it work, although I have no business background.

The only background I really had was, uh, in my teaching position, I was also doing marketing and outreach, so I was sort of a self-taught marketer.
