So with that, I wanted to pass it on to Maeve to share a bit of her experience, but also some practical ways that we can, we can work a bit smarter in this space.

It's a real pleasure to actually speak at this session today.

And I think it's worth just revisiting the results of the poll that we opened with.

So it's interesting to see that the majority, it was a tie as I recall, that 57, 57% of us actually see medical operations as a service, support or coordination, or that's how we think our organization sees us.

And I can definitely relate to that, and I can understand why that's the case because often that's what it can look like for our business stakeholders looking in and not actually seeing the invisible work that we're doing.

But where that is tricky is that perception can actually cost us.

This section follows that transformation and considers how medical operations can say yes to the business in a different way, by providing frameworks and expert advice while allowing accountable teams to make and own their decisions.
