Okay

... their relationship to external and internal self, right? And so if you think about it, let's say picture, if you were to close your eyes, picture, uh, water and picture an iceberg and, and there's iceberg on top, and then picture the big, big structure underneath the water that not a lot of people can see when they're above the water, right? And you have four different personas.
27:02
One is the tourist.
27:03
The tourist is, you know, a person that is just like, uh, like...
27:07
And all of these personas are great.
27:09
There's no one that's better than the other, I wanna say.

And we can also be-

Right.
6:04
So how did you do that, uh, transition?
6:07
transition? There was something in my gut and my instinct because I actually got my first new client within the Friday of my layoff and then started an LLC the following week and had job offers that following week and I said, "No, there was a lesson to learn here." I'm a daughter of two Chinese immigrants who lived and were brought up in a mindset of scarcity.
6:33
So when they came to the United States, they told me, "Melissa, you only have three choices of what to be when you grow up, a doctor, a lawyer or a partner in a consulting company," like my father.
6:46
So in my culture, I didn't realize I was spending my entire childhood and adulthood trying to honor my immigrant parents.
6:57
So when the pause came, I had to ask myself, was I even happy with my life in the first place? I, I want to now take everything that I know from a large scale organizational transformation perspective where the company was the hero and take it and make the human the hero.
7:18
And so I'm leveraging all these different tools with psychologists and coaches to dream up offerings and solutions that don't exist today that could be operationalized in businesses as well as in, you know, a cohort style program.

So how do you get to that, um, freedom that you say when you start doing bound- uh, knowing what boundaries is?
20:44
Well, first is taking the time to understand where it all comes from, right? And so in your culture, right, you said you were taught to put people first.
