It was beautiful out.
11:12
We all started walking.
11:13
Obviously, everybody's pretty sore.
11:15
We were, like, maybe an hour or so in.
11:20
I decided to call Kevin.
11:21
He sounded so startled.
11:25
I knew immediately something was wrong.

Yeah,
13:19
it's not the horrors of the what happens, you know, to humans.
13:23
And I think both films do try to center that, you know, like the cost, the very human cost.
13:30
And if you love this planet, does it, you know, she does it more through data, too.
13:34
Like she literally walks you through, you know, the data of what happens when a bomb explodes, what happens when.
13:41
um you know what happens to the community how much time you have like you know the the very human cost of that and then radio bikini literally shows it in the soldiers that were watching those test explosions happen and what happens to their bodies and i think the role of trauma plays a big part in both of those documentaries it's something i think about a lot in my films right when we send cameras out i'm always very conscious of like what role does showing people's trauma on screen play in media, right? And so in this instance, like the shock value, I think, serves the purpose of both of those films.
14:19
You know, my next project is going to be about, you know, the Chicago gun violence and violence prevention programs here in Chicago.
