Episode 8, where we talk about the next generation.
0:07
When I first moved to the States, the hardest things to do for me was worship because I was surrounded with English, you know, worship.
0:15
And my friend used to take me to this Presbyterian church and we would do hymns.
0:21
And it was really hard, but I learned to focus because I came from like a Pentecostal kind of church where everybody's yelling and screaming and all of that.
0:40
But because of that season where I didn't have what I would have wanted, I got to experience listening to the lyrics and this quiet kind of, you know, way of worshiping the Lord.
0:55
So I really do love hymns.
0:56
Like in the mornings, I love listening to hymns as I'm praying and getting ready.

32 MINS LATER

32:52
Mm-hmm
5:05
I would love for you to introduce yourself, tell us a little bit about yourself, including, and I'll get into this in a little while, how do you pronounce your name?
5:13
Okay, sounds good.
5:16
So my name is Megdes Hadis, and Megdes means temple of God.
5:22
I like to tell people in Ethiopia, our parents kind of give us a prophetic name, a name that they want us to live up to.
5:31
So I have a big name to tell.
5:35
Thank God for, you know, salvation in Christ.
5:40
And, yeah, so I'm originally from Ethiopia.

7 MINS LATER

13:03
So I'm wondering if you would take time to explain, introduce and explain the concept to those who may be listening to this podcast.
