So ladies, help us to understand how Temple of Kinship's retreats use this idea of non-clinical, community-based care for healing.
10:51
Okay, so the first thing is retreats really serve as a third space.
10:58
So the idea is it's not home, it's not work, but it's this other space that you can leave behind the complexities of the things that you're dealing with in your day-to-day life.
11:10
And for people that are navigating active treatment, they're also navigating able to leave behind a little bit the complexities of clinical care.
11:21
So it's this sort of protected third space that you can go to.
11:26
Another piece of the model is that bringing a friend with you creates a connective tissue to bring the learnings home.
11:34
So Alyssa was talking earlier about this idea that all the participants in the first retreat that she went to saying, oh, we have to go back to our real lives.
12:14
right yeah
