So you're right.

There are has been a decline in scores across the country and even internationally.

And that's where the data around screen use really comes in.

And so I think it's good that there has been a cell phone ban, but I think there's a contradiction there with then still having no limit on screen time in schools and having AI really being brought in in New Brunswick.

I also think that one of the things that's really needed is earlier interventions to catch issues that a student may be having as early as possible in kindergarten, in grade one, screening them for issues with literacy and ensuring there's access to resources like psych ed evaluations.

Sometimes an issue is identified.
