I started my career in chemicals and materials in 2001 after graduating from Penn State with my chemical engineering degree, and I went to work for DuPont.

I spent nearly 17 years climbing the corporate ladder in roles spanning from capital engineering to operations, and then kind of commercial and business management roles the last, you know, 15, uh, ish years, and culminated in leading the global fluorochemicals business for DuPont, which was about a billion-dollar platform.

I then spun out of DuPont in 2015 with the Chemours business separation in the same role, and spent the next two years with Chemours.

And then in 2017, I just decided that maybe it was time to consider what else was out in the world, and so I was recruited to run a startup for a local investor who had an idea for a nanotechnology-based chemical for an enhanced oil recovery, and just decided that what a great opportunity to really step outside of my comfort zone and build a startup from the ground up very successfully, um, which I did for the next two and a half, three years.

And, you know, over those kind of last five years of my career at the time, I was really interested in the private equity world, and I was recruited by a private equity-backed company that manufactured and distributed high-performance pigments, and went to, uh, what was, uh, DCL Corporation owned by private equity firm HIG as the chief commercial and technology officer, where I spent about two and a half years as well, when Green Tweed called and asked me if I'd consider becoming their next CEO, and started here in 2023.
