28:13
And, and what's happened in Tasmania on that front?
28:16
Mm.
28:17
It is a-- I think it's a really interesting and important point for sure, and I, I hope many of your listeners will agree with that.
28:23
It, it, it comes back to that really fundamental principle that people in the community, our citizens, should have a line of sight over what and who is influencing decision-making being done in their name by a government of the day and, and by parliament.
28:41
So one of the key things is that members of cabinets and ministers in the cabinet will be obviously key decision-makers within the government, and the influence that's being brought to bear over their decisions, who's got their ear, who's getting the quiet meetings behind closed doors, you know, who's securing commitments on particular matters that are being decided upon, all of that should be something that's as transparent as possible for it to be able to be then judged the degree to which it's being done in the public interest and in the, in the interest of the community.
29:17
And we need mechanisms put in place that provide that transparency.
29:22
And ministerial diary disclosure is one of those just really fundamental basic building blocks.

But t- t- tell our listeners though, what, what other issues do you see down the track? What haven't you been able to get to yet that you think is important?
