And so, like, obviously with, like, the award wasn't the, well, actually, before we get into that, what were, since you already sold yourself once, what were some of the things that, like, the main highlights that you did throughout your career, if you can, you know, rattle all those off, off the top of your head, but what were, like, the main highlights? things that you think that you did that potentially separated yourself from others like obviously it is a team award you did a lot of these things as a team and a lot of the things you did within the community were with other people but what do you what were some of those things that you think might have been a reason as to why you kind of got that yeah bump up the list
11:36
we were super fortunate as a team to have received opportunities through our coach and through the athletic department, um, that you were, you were able to help out through in the community or throughout Vermont, um, from these opportunities that came through the athletic department or through our coach bill.
11:52
And so whenever those were forwarded to us, I, I tried to take advantage of those opportunities because, you know, they're important.
12:00
They're important for, um, other people in the community, but they're, you know, looking back on it, they're really important for yourself too, and growth as a person and, you know, it helps your character and learning about, you know, helping people who are less fortunate.
12:14
I think a couple of things that stand out to me being a part of Special Olympics Vermont, which is where I was able to donate the check that the foundation awarded me.
12:26
So that was pretty neat to see the impact of that.
12:29
That happened on Sunday.

So in what ways has... playing in Middlebury and being there changed you outside the rink maybe is that family member friend or just person in general I it sounds as though you've always been that kind of community oriented person but what about Middlebury specifically and going through you know that four years changed about you outside the rink just in day to day
11:54
When you reflect on your career at Middlebury at this point, how would you say you've grown? How would you say you've grown both as a player, of course, but away from the ice, how has your time at Middlebury impacted you both on and off the ice?
12:13
ice?I think, um, I am forever in debt to Coach Bill for taking a chance on me, um, a kid from Michigan who I don't think he had ever seen me play, I guess, through video.
12:26
Um, and so, you know, taking a chance on a kid that you don't really know, I, I really feel so incredibly fortunate to have been able to call Middlebury home the past four years.
12:37
I think that Middlebury's such a special place in the way it's a really tiny town.
12:41
The town of Middlebury is, um, quite small, and so the, the people that you see on a daily basis are people that are familiar faces, and they become familiar faces, which is really neat.
12:51
Like, um, the, you know, one of our fans who sits behind the bench at our hockey games, she gra- she bags our groceries at the grocery store.
13:00
She goes to Special Olympics basketball.
14:58
... at Middlebury?
