I mean, was
3:59
that your experience? It was absolutely.
4:02
I will say that I loved my job.
4:07
The company that I worked for was at first a startup and then it grew and we were focused on building apps for children with chronic illnesses.
4:22
And it was important work, but also the company was just amazing.
4:27
Like everybody was involved with everything.
4:31
We would have these team meetings where we would all brainstorm together.

16:39
then there's a chair in the corner are these things that you consistently keep there or are you swapping out setups
4:14
And your business looks a little differently than some other, you know, people in the industry.
4:19
Yeah.
4:19
But it, it really, I think, started out the same.
4:22
So I, I was wanting to take better photos of my kids, and so I was doing that, and then people were noticing, right? They were like, "Would you take photos of our family or our children?" And I was like, "Absolutely." I had a side business.
4:36
At the time, I was, I was working in the corporate world, and I, I was working in the marketing department.
4:41
And, uh, that was, you know, what I got a degree in.
4:45
Uh, but, uh, the company that I was working for at the time when I, I fully launched my photography business, they were a startup, and they got bought out by another, much larger company.

Has your art been crucial with mental health, coping mechanisms, anything like that?
25:22
Like, what does your brain go- go through when you're, you know, figuring out the, the colors of an image?
25:29
Usually what happens is, I, it starts with, first of all, like, an idea.
25:35
Let's say I've got a, a concept, some- something that I saw one of my children do, for example, that I was like, "That would be a great idea for a portrait." Then from there, it, it goes into I usually have at least one prop or one item that I have to have in my shot.
25:51
Uh, and so that item is the start of my color palette typically, whether it's a, a dress, clothing item, or, I don't know, something within the kitchen.
26:01
And so that's the start of the color palette.
26:03
So I pick secondary and supporting colors that work well with that color, you know, and I'll repeat colors as well throughout my f- frame.
26:13
Uh, so that's often how it starts, but I also look at the space that I'm shooting in.

Aw, that's exciting.
