How do you think learning and understanding more and more about our autism impacts our decision to retreat at certain times, and it's not necessarily a bad thing or that we did something wrong?
6:35
Hmm.
6:36
Yeah, I think that for me, that's been a huge part of my journey post-diagnosis and some of the stuff that I'm unlearning, and I think that I'm unlearning with my characters, 'cause through my characters I can process this stuff.

And I think Selah and I both have this thing of where we want, we desire so much to meet the expectations of the neurotypical world around us, because for so long we thought we were neurotypical, so these are just the expectations, and by not meeting them, we are lazy or have a bad attitude or whatever ableist kind of, uh, misbelief we've heard.

And so for me, a huge part of post-diagnosis has been, okay, I am not that way.
7:17
[chuckles] I can't keep up with the same standards and it's not fair for me to impose those same standards.
7:22
Another part of it is figuring out what my barometer is of what I can and can't do, because there was no option before.

Like, how have you kind of, like, navigated that process, or looking back maybe, how would you have navigated that differently?
