I would love your reflections on Senator Graham and what his involvement in the Ukraine-Russia conflict has meant, um, particularly in trying to steward the relationship that the United States has in that, i- in, in supporting, um, uh, Ukraine.

Well, first of all, I mean, Senator Graham is such a loss for the United States.

It's such a loss for the foreign policy and national security world.

I mean, you can, you know, disagree with some of his policies or some of what he, he was trying to do, but at the heart of all of it, Senator Graham so deeply believed in the idea of American strength, American power, and the idea that America should inherently be this force for good all over the world.

Again, people could disagree about his policies, but he so fundamentally believed that, that he spent so much of his time truly trying to demonstrate to the world why America was this genuine force for good and for power, which is why you saw so many descend upon DC in order to honor h- him, honor his memory, and then why you saw his sanctions bill that had long kind of stalled in the Senate finally come to fruition and pass, which ultimately showed, by the way, that in the Senate, Ukraine is still, it still has bipartisan support.

Of the 12 no votes, 11 were Democrats.

Sometimes we take our eyes off of the Arctic, but what is going on there, and why should America be taking a more active role?

So it is becoming increasingly an extremely competitive landscape, in some ways a battlefield or a frontier for the next generation of warfare.

How do you choose to sacrifice for which corners of the planet? When do you say, well, is it moral to engage in when other countries are doing immoral things? Or is it moral to protect young Americans and prevent boots on the ground and prevent wars that America maybe it's gratuitous to get involved in? Is a Russian expansion a threat to the United States of America? Or is it just a moral obligation that the United States gets involved in that area of the

world? So first, I think as a mom, that for me, the greatest gift I can give to my daughters is the belief that there is something worth sacrificing greater than themselves.

I'm a Catholic woman, and I believe very deeply that when Jesus died on the cross, he was dying for all of us.

He was sacrificing for something greater than himself.

And that Judeo-Christian sense of there is something bigger than me has to be instilled in our children.

And so when they say they want to serve, then I know that they know and they will know and they will be equipped that that may require sacrifice up to including their life.

And my parents instilled that in me.
