Maya, I would like you to introduce yourself, but also talk a little bit about how you came up with this idea of a Green Amendment.

Yeah, so thanks so much for having me and helping to spread the word.

Yes, the book is in print, audio or e-versions.

But so for people who listened to a previous episode, uh where you had me on in my role as the Delaware Riverkeeper fighting for the beautiful Delaware River I have as part of that work over the years battled against fracking for fossil fuels and keeping it out of the boundaries of the Delaware River watershed now the Delaware River watershed is um sits in four states but one of those states is in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania And in Pennsylvania, around 2005, fracking came to the state and really started to ravage communities and ecosystems and the health, safety, and quality of life of people and nature.

We had at the Delaware Riverkeeper Network fought for and secured a moratorium against fracking, but fracking was really moving apace in the other portions of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania where the critical Marcellus shale sits.
