So tell me about the five phase forever fit blueprint, why it works when so many other health and fitness plans might not.
21:21
Yeah, so why some others don't because they just focus on phase one of our five phases, which most people just focus on simply being lighter or losing fat, but I don't take care of what happens after.
21:31
So So the five phases phase one is body recomposition.
21:37
So where we're actively looking to decrease the amount of body fat that you have on your body while keeping the same amount of lean muscle tissue or building a little bit.
21:45
Because most people come to us wanting to be 5 pounds, 10 pounds, 20 pounds, 40 pounds, 50 pounds lighter.
21:51
Phase two is reverse dieting, is where we basically trick your body into being able to eat more food to keep the weight off.
21:58
Because most people, when they do a fat loss phase or a weight loss phase, they severely cut their food and then they're eating like little birds at the end of it.

20 MINS LATER

42:31
What exercise do you recommend that I could do at my office? I have my own business.
3:47
[laughs]
3:48
... at this point.
3:48
But so a lot of people, they're very data-driven, they're very obsessive when it comes to fitness or food, that they need to control every single number of every single ounce.
3:56
They need to...
3:57
They think that more is better when it comes to fitness.
3:59
And so for a lot of people, they're waiting for the perfect amount of workouts.
4:03
Like, "I wanna work out six, six days a week, or else I'm not doing this," or, "I wanna work out 45 minutes four times a week and I'm not gonna start until I have that time available in my schedule." If you have two times of 20 minutes, that's fantastic.

15 MINS LATER

19:41
That's it
64:47
So talk to me about flexible dieting approach and how you came upon it.
64:53
Yeah.
64:53
So flexible dieting, I came from it from the nutrition side.
64:57
So back in the day, and I wasn't vegan at the time, but I had done my bodybuilding show, very severe, very restrictive, developing a really unhealthy relationship with food, put on 50 pounds in 30 days, post bodybuilding show.
65:10
What were you doing to do that? Were you eating jars of peanut butter? I was eating so much crap, Rip, because it was so restrictive and so unsustainable.
65:22
And that was my first experience with cutting down.
65:25
Unfortunately, that became the blueprint in my head.

14 MINS LATER

79:34
And so why the switch of name from FitVegan to mavywellness.com?
20:23
What is a realistic timeline for somebody to set for themselves so that they don't get down and they are still able to hit those little benchmarks along the way to keep them motivated to keep going?
20:35
Yeah, I'll tell you some timelines, but I think I think there's a fine line between the two of them is you want to set goals that are big enough to require you to take big enough of actions to get there.
20:49
But you want to have a timeline that is realistic enough for you to not beat yourself up and feel down the whole time.
20:55
Right.
20:56
And as much as people say, like, enjoy the journey while you're going through it.
21:01
from my own experience throughout all the goals I've ever set for myself, I've enjoyed a portion of the journey while I was in it.
21:06
The rest of it, it was like, ah, this sucks.

22 MINS LATER

43:32
What in the world does that mean?
