But in terms of how the Bills have deployed him so far this year, knowing what his limitations and his strengths are, what's your take on that this season? I
7:11
think it's basically flawless.
7:13
I think it's the exact way to utilize a player like this.
7:16
It's the best way to maximize his value, and it fits in with the rest of the offense really, really well.
7:22
Like, when they get him out there on standard downs, it's usually going to be in 13 personnel, which is, you know, you have...
7:31
Jackson Hawes and Dawson Knox in line so you have those two extra basically offensive linemen and so when you have five alignment and two dominant run blocking tight ends you have enough right like he's based Kincaid basically takes the spot of an outside wide receiver in the run game which you don't necessarily need to uh to do anything more than get in the way of safety's from time to time which is not that big of a an ask any tight end can do it and almost every receiver can do it too but you create a situation where teams have to respect these loaded these loaded offensive lines like the loaded line of scrimmage that the bills can present because of those two extra guys and when they get into big big personnel when they get into base you Kincaid becomes a really big weapon as a receiver because they get into these condensed formations and release him, you know, as a true tight end of the pass game without him having to be a true tight end in the run game.
8:33
And it's a big matchup issue because if you play light boxes against the Bills with their own line and that pair of tight ends that they have on the line of scrimmage, they're going to crush you.
11:33
Can you lay that out for us, for everybody here who's watching this right now?
2:37
But given that they're not gonna draft Kenyan Sadiq, almost certainly, we won't spend a ton of time on his profile as a day one guy, but instead let's start with how you look at this position, because I'm sure the way the Bengals run this position drives you crazy, as I know you're a guy that really believes in the do it all tight end
2:54
You know, it's so interesting that you say that.
2:57
Um, I actually think the Bengals understand.
3:00
I just don't think that they've been able to get that guy.
3:03
I think they tried to get that guy with Eric Eal, and we've run into, to injuries and, and that's been really so unfortunately a consistent thing for him because he's really such a, a really solid player, and he has been for, I mean, ever since that second year at Michigan, right? When he really started to break out and he just couldn't...
3:19
He just hasn't been able to stay healthy and especially it's all the same stuff with the knees, which gives you that recurrence concern, um, as, as we've seen.
3:28
So, you know, I like their approach there.

8 MINS LATER

11:41
Does that align with how you see Kenyon Sadiq coming up?
8:30
And then we are going to talk about the team that I teased earlier that started kind of copying McVay.
8:36
Yeah, well, I mean, it's the direct opposite of what Sean McVay kind of became famous for, right? Like he was the first guy to truly go full exclusive 11 personnel and do everything from that instead of just being a team that throws the ball all the time, right? Like he turned the fullback position that he inherited from Shanahan which is, you know, obviously his background.
8:59
Those guys have always used a fullback at least a significant amount.
9:03
And so he turned that role into the power slot.
9:07
And so he's used guys like Robert Woods and Cooper Cup in that exact same move blocking role where they'll lead to the support defender, insert on a linebacker, dig out the nickel, climb to a safety, that move blocking, secondary blocking role.
9:21
That's really what it is.
9:23
And he turned that into a third receiver so that they can max out on pass catching.

6 MINS LATER

15:06
And we need to find different ways to kind of change our offense.
