My pleasure, Maureen.

Ken, let's shift the conversation in lupus nephritis to what is increasingly becoming the dominant long-term issue, cardiovascular disease.
1:16
As highlighted in the forthcoming North American Expert Consensus, atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease is now the leading cause of late mortality in these patients.
1:26
What's striking is that patients with lupus nephritis have approximately a 2.8 to 8.5-fold increased risk of cardiovascular events compared to the general lupus population.
1:37
And that risk is particularly front-loaded within the first year after diagnosis, as the risk of myocardial infarction can be as high as six-fold.
2:03
This is a paradigm shift away from just treating the flare to managing cumulative risk over time.
2:10
Exactly.
2:11
And one of the key shortcomings we've recognized is that traditional ASCVD risk calculators, like the ACC Risk Estimator Plus or even newer PREVENT equations, significantly underestimate the risk in lupus patients.
