I had
12:04
a, I had this, I had this, it's a funny story actually.
12:08
Um, I know he won't be watching this so I can talk about it, but he, um, this guy, so when I, when I left university, I went into a graduate program at, at the bank and And this is New Zealand's largest commercial bank, their best commercial bank by a country mile.
12:23
And in the commercial and business space, you're dealing with, the reason I like that space is because you're dealing with the owners and the founders directly, right? So you're dealing with the person that started the thing, right? When you get dropped in the deep end like I was, the guy that I was working for was like recently divorced, had like a kid to some, New chick, like he was all over the place.
12:49
Right.
12:49
But before I got, got to working with him as his direct, uh, sort of support, he was like on fire.
12:56
He was a gun.

38 MINS LATER

51:03
What's something that you know now that you didn't know when you started the business?
35:33
Whereas now it's just like how do we survive the next three or four years? I mean,
35:36
Christchurch is a really good example because after the earthquakes, they literally had to rebuild an entire city.
35:42
And so they've kind of got a fresh slate to an extent.
35:45
yeah um and that that that city is you know if i look at new zealand across the board that's probably the most pumping city oh really of all yeah at the moment at the moment like they've got a new stadium um the city layout's great it's you know christchurch is kind of similar to to the geography of melbourne yeah like it's very flat bordered by water you can keep building for miles and miles and miles right the infrastructure is not quite there but it's getting better yeah um Whereas Auckland is very similar geographically to Sydney, right? Like confined by a harbour each side.
36:20
You can only really build north and south.
36:24
You know, you're constricted in that land area.
36:26
You know, from a planning point of view, like the local councils are shit.
37:08
Were you in the development space really?
