You know, in the city of Phoenix, when a murder happens, you can have a forensic team there, sometimes in just minutes, What's it look like out on tribal lands?
40:50
Well, it depends.
40:51
It depends on the vastness of the particular reservation.
40:55
In some instances, it takes two hours to get to a crime scene sometimes, depending on the remoteness of it.
41:02
A lot of times in remote reservation areas or locations, weather's a factor.
41:09
So that definitely affects the amount of evidence sometimes we're able to recover from a scene.
41:15
And sometimes, too, because of the sheer remoteness of the area, if the crime occurs in that area, you know, you don't necessarily have the same resources available that you would in a city environment, such as camera footage, CCD camera footage, witnesses, you know, stuff like that.
44:01
Where does that case stand today?
24:15
[laughs]
24:15
Um, I mean, I talked to my dad and brother and, you know, just so many people and it was funny 'cause at the start of last season, you come in, you have an open mind.
24:22
Um, you know, you talk to the management and, you know, you just wanna take it day by day.
24:26
You don't wanna get ahead of anything.
24:27
And, um, yeah, I mean, I, I don't think I would've been, you know, playing in the NHL or, you know, um, had been on the team with so many, um, amazing people.
24:35
But, um, I have to, you know, thank all the management and, you know, everyone just with, uh, the Islanders organization, obviously my family, and, um, obviously the Martin family, and, uh, my two sisters actually.
24:46
So, um, yeah, they've, they've helped me a lot.
25:23
Tell us about that.
129:23
... did someone tell you that, or was that always you?
129:25
No, I was never like that.
129:26
I mean, I, this is, you know, like Barsy's been here for a while.
129:31
Barsy's a vet.
129:32
Like, all these guys are vets, and they-- I was lucky enough for them to take me under their wing and, you know, show me the ropes and, like, just show me, um, you know, everything they got going on here.
129:41
I mean, I mean, I'm 18, and, you know, I'm, I'm learning from all the guys here.
129:45
I'm learning from Barsy, I'm learning from everyone.
132:42
Just what has this season been like for both of you? And we'll start with you, Matthew.
8:49
Yep.
8:49
Um, but no, I, I was focused on the World Juniors.
8:52
I was just sad I couldn't play the rest of the World Juniors, 'cause like I said, I, I wanna play...
8:57
I wish I could've played all year.
8:59
Like, I love playing hockey, um, but yeah, no, I was just thinking about my teammates especially, and I wanted to be there for them.
9:06
And I was happy I could get surgery in Ottawa so I could-
11:24
Oh, that's great.
11:25
... yeah, so the...
60:28
I'm watching, I'm like, "Oh, here comes Schae- oh." Oh.
60:30
Yeah.
60:30
That could've been one of the fastest I've skated.
60:32
But, um, to run it down, I- I shot it.
60:35
I followed my rebound with my head.
60:36
I kind of followed it and then I thought I was out of line with the post.
60:40
But then I ended up, uh, you know, nailing the post and everyone thought it was my head, but I knew right away my shoulder, I did something.
64:14
Yep.
