So yeah, I just kind of wanted you to share a bit about your experience with working in that field.

Yeah, I think what I love most about it is it always brings me back to when I was coming up into my own identity as a Black queer person, I didn't have anyone to talk to.

I didn't know what it meant to be all the things that I am exploring the world.

I just had no guidance in that.

It was talking to my friends and then having all this emotional trauma within myself and just being a hot mess.

And so being able to support folks at the beginning of their journey, I've had folks come to my room like, hey, I think I'm gay.

And it's like to catch someone in that is such a special experience because you are literally helping guide them to such an affirming experience.

No shame, okay?
