But vets are incredible.

I was like, "Can you please fix my dog?" She's like, "Yes, of course.

And you won't believe this, but we have a sale on right now.

So I can offer you a surgery that works 61% of the time for the low, low price of $9,200." I was like, "What? This dog was free."

[laughing]

That's not what happened.

That would be a better story.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Just jumped into more punishment.

Yeah, I started with the Austin Police Department in two thousand.

I was twenty-four at the time when I started.

God, I'm aging myself now, right? My wife and I moved to Austin.

I just graduated from college with my bachelor's in criminal justice, wanted to get in the law enforcement agency, and the first one I applied for was Austin 'cause that's where, that's where I wanted to go.

When you're looking at your police background, what made you think HR is where you needed to be?

Yes.

What kind of desperate pervert is playing games in the front yard for the neighbors to watch?

... well, um, I wouldn't say I'm first generation hunter, but-Um, when I was a little, little tacker, probably around the age of six to seven, me old man used to take me rabbit shooting, um, at me grandfather's property in Langwarrin, just out of Frankston, Victoria, obviously.

Um, there was no houses around then, which is unbelievable because it's pretty much another city now.

Um, yeah, and we used to shoot rabbits, and often enough, Dad was a copper at the time, too, and he used to pick me up in the duty van.

Not- don't think he was really allowed to.

But anyway, we will put this on...
