So, uh, yeah, so my background is actually, uh, as a biologist.

Um, and so I, I did my undergrad in, in, uh, biology and Spanish linguistics, and then I ended up getting a PhD in ecology and evolution, so studying basically how animals communicate, like how, uh, particularly birds, uh, barn swallows, uh, basically how they, um, communicate with, to choose mates or, you know, um, fight competi-competing males especially.

Uh, birdsong was one of the main foc-focuses of my research.

Um, and so then I started doing, like, a, a postdoc, a traditional academic path.

So I, it's sort of like residency if after you get an MD, if you're more familiar with, most people are more familiar with that pathway.

Um, so the idea is that you do a postdoc for a while, get more papers and stuff, like more publications, and then you become a professor.
