So Matt, what have you made of it so far?

I think mixed is probably the word.

It was always going to be a tough start.

We went to Everton first game.

We never beat Everton.

We always beat Aston Villa.

We never beat Everton.

What's your read on Sarge and how he's going so far?

But after a really poor start, I definitely didn't expect them to be top, uh, this early on in the campaign.

Yeah.

So it's now three consecutive one-nil home league wins for Salford.

As for Fleetwood, it's four defeats in a row in all competitions since they drew Arsenal in the Carabao Cup.

I may be putting two and two together there, but they do need to sort that out pretty quickly because they've still actually got a few more games until they take on Arsenal in the cup.

Now, one of the games of the weekend in League Two saw Crewe end their run of six draws in a row by beating Bristol Rovers three-one.

Lee Bell's Railway Men are up to third and, of course, they are still unbeaten in the league this season.

Probably laugh.

Why don't you tell us more about it and some of the crazy companies that you guys do work for?

Yeah, so, well, we actually started off as a consultancy, project management and facilities consultancy.

Then we were trying to agree a contract some with a main contractor on a particular project.

We couldn't.

The client had already signed a lease for the building.

And then basically they approached me and said, Matt, would you be interested in doing the build yourselves? So we did that.

We hit their contract some, actually came below it.

So tell us about your book and kind of what inspired you to write this book.

Have you got Tomiyasu, who used to play for Arsenal, on trial as well or, or something like that? But n- no, no big signings so far.

No, no big signings just yet.

As you say, Oscar Mingueza's come in.

He comes in off the back of a really good season at Celta Vigo.

He was in the Europa League team of the season and a lot of people who know a lot more about European football than I do seem to think that is a bit of a coup.

Obviously getting him on a free transfer, even better.

As you say, Takehiro Tomiyasu is currently on trial.

And so what are you, what are you hoping for in Europe? And then, um, the last question I'll ask now as well is, where will you finish in the Premier League?

H-How do you feel about it?

If I'm being totally honest, I would rather he'd gone abroad.

It's one of those where when you have such success with a manager, you don't want to see him again unless he's managing your club.

You don't want to be up against him.

You don't want him to be managing one of your domestic rivals.

So yeah, I'd much rather he'd gone abroad.

Obviously, he was linked with AC Milan.

Is that me thinking stereotypically, or is that, that kind of profile fair?
