But as matters of law, how do you see the June decision on Mississippi's voting laws? And how do you see what's going on now with these new Trump-ordered voting rules and the case before the Supreme Court?

Well, those are really interesting questions.

I think if you took the politics out of it, if this were any other statutory interpretation case, where the federal government and the states share responsibility – I think it would be a 9-0 decision upholding Mississippi's law.

In fact, those laws have been in effect for a period of years, not forever, but since COVID.

They are in effect in about half the states.

They parallel laws, unchallenged laws that we have for service members and diplomats overseas.

And I think without the politics of it, I don't think anybody – it would occur to anybody to challenge it.
