So for decades, there's been a lot of interest in getting a convention center in Lincoln.

Oftentimes they refer to it as a downtown convention center.

But the current process is that a few years ago, the legislature passed a bill which would allow a turn-back tax to be used to fund a convention center.

Now, a turn-back tax is not a new tax.
