Like does, like is it, is the body like a car? Like, well, sooner or later, like the odometer on someone's body saying, "You know what? My hips are done," and, and they fall off?
7:39
There absolutely will be, and I mean, our bodies are, you know, infinitely more complex than a car.
7:45
Uh, but they need that same level of maintenance, and there is, you know, there is wear and tear on the, on the joints of the body, just like there's wear and tear on the, on the components of the car.
7:53
And I think that's, that's the problem is that whether or not, whether or not an NHL hockey player who's 25 or 30 or beyond should be training year-round daily is, that's up for debate.
8:05
But the problem is that when parents of nine, 10, and 11-year-old kids perceive that that's what they do, they try to apply that same pr- all those same principles and practices to their nine, 10, 11-year-old kid, and that does not work.
8:16
And it's not a good idea.
8:17
So I, I'm a huge proponent of kids especially, you know, before their teenage years, to, to play a variety of sports, to take time, to have fun, to do that stuff, not just because it helps them be, you know, a well-rounded, happy person.

12 MINS LATER

20:20
Yeah
25:32
We can get to that later.
25:34
Absolutely.
25:35
And I think that I want to make that clear too, because this is, I've had People that know me and are familiar with my work with professional athletes, NHL, NFL, MLB, NBA, we sort of have a reputation that we're nice and friendly and we love everybody there, but we coach our athletes and they have to be accountable and we demand punctuality.
25:57
We demand attention and intention where they're there.
25:59
We track everything.
26:01
We rank everybody.
26:04
Uh, you know, we always tell our athletes that we, whether you're the tallest or shortest, skinniest or fattest, you know, slowest or fastest, we love you all the same, but it's my job to tell you exactly where you stand, if you're getting better or not.

22 MINS LATER

47:54
And anything beyond that is gravy, then you kind of have to walk down that path, don't you? I would
23:03
How flexible and how adaptive are we in those strategies?
23:07
Yeah, that's a great question.
23:08
We, we start every year really looking at what the situation is gonna be in terms of water availability and timing, but a year like this in particular where we knew going in that we were gonna have to change stocking, we started clear back in March altering stocking schedules, altering locations, altering size.
23:30
The other issue is that not only is the limited water impacting the fisheries, but it can impact the hatcheries as well.
23:38
So we had a couple of hatcheries that have low flow conditions in their water supplies, and so we had to move fish off of those facilities earlier than we normally would have.
23:49
The upside, though, is that we were able to stock fish earlier than we normally do in certain locations.
23:57
We were able to stock, uh, species and sizes in different places.

9 MINS LATER

33:28
Matt, could you maybe get into a little bit about, you know, where there are opportunities for us to provide that opportunity, and then maybe some of the reasons, you know, working with federal partners and Colorado recovery programs and things of that nature of why we can't always have every species everybody might like to catch in, in every body of water?
