Can you tell me about that, what it entails, and how it came about?

You know, our organization has been working for many years with stakeholders, including the Rethink Coalition, the city and the states on the interstates, as we thought about the fact that our downtown interstate system is going to need to be rebuilt over the next decade.
5:38
And how can we look at what other cities are doing, what other markets are doing with their downtown interstates and be inspired to do something other than just rip it down and replace it with something that looks exactly the same? So we've been engaged in that effort for quite some time.

We took a group of 140 or so business leaders, civic leaders, philanthropic leaders, university leaders to Boston in 2024 for our leadership exchange trip.
6:04
And on that trip, we looked at some of what Boston has done in terms of investment in infrastructure and attraction and retention of talent to really drive their innovation, their economic and innovation engine forward.
6:16
We came back from that trip, and it was Dan Hassler from Purdue who called afterward and said, you know, the interstates are critical.
