Because I think if people are looking for... information on broader issues or if they're looking to understand how we got to a certain place they'll read non-fiction for that so fiction writers can't be too preachy but i do think fiction writers like you do in this book have to show what's going on in the world at that particular time just like a lot of other thriller writers have done throughout fiction history like Chandler and Hammett, and a lot of other people who we think of as writing in a certain era, but they actually were writing about the human condition in a certain time.

Oh, I mean, that's, you know, I certainly hope that is the, you know, the takeaway from my book.

You know, I don't want to necessarily, you know, everybody has their opinions and it's not quite a, you know, presented without presenting the facts without opinion.

But, you know, we were talking earlier and, you know, I want to mention something within my book about, you know, this conspiracy cabal because we spend a decent amount of time with them and it's, you know, it's meant to you know, show their, you know, who they are, you know, not with an acceptance or endorsement of what they're doing, but where it comes from.

And so there's a character, and this is partially drawn from my real life, you know, when I was answering phones working for Congress, I'd get a lot of calls of people who were super nervous about the UN buying huge swaths of land up through the center of the United States.

in order to build a highway for illegal immigrants to come and work here.

Now, there was nothing behind that, but obviously, you know, people had fears about it for a variety of reasons.
