Yeah.
51:50
Yeah, so that's right.
51:52
So here on the peninsula we go from sea level through to about 800 metres in a relatively short geographic distance.
51:59
So we've got a lot of flat land, which is kind of confusing for a lot of people when they think of Banks Peninsula, but we've got over 2,000 hectares of flat land.
52:08
And a lot of that is on the kaiteriti spit, but also on the valley floors and a lot of irrigation.
52:13

Tell us a little bit about your involvement with the kind of restoration and preservation of some of that very special area.
12:53
And tell us a little bit about the history as to why you went to dairy in that area and why the barn, etc.? ?
13:02
Yeah, so look, a wonderful piece of productive ground.
13:06
One of the things about these valley systems are the very steep hills, and over thousands or hundreds of thousands of years, the soil in the valley floor has built up, and there's nearly two metres of topsoil there.
13:17
It's so beautiful, heavy soil.
13:19
loam soils that are really productive.
13:21
We've got fantastic water resources and so grows a lot of grass, which is wonderful.
13:27
The challenge is that with the low-lying nature of it and the lack of natural drainage, it can get very wet in the winter.
18:23
The actual composting barn, why did you go with composting barn over any other kind of off paddock shelter?
