And Matt, talk about why, if you would, why it was important for you to make this film.
56:16
Well, I mean, this film actually came out of a separate film that I'd released seven years ago.
56:22
And that film was called Global Warning.
56:25
And at the time, I was filming, showing what was happening to Canada in regards to development of its resources and the current state of the policy and what could possibly happen to the nation politically and economically if we kept going down this path.
56:44
And so while I was making that movie, we suggested that because of these things that were happening, that the country might have some serious problems in the future.
56:53
And those grievances of the slowdown of the development of natural resources, particularly with oil and gas, were starting to be voiced in a big way by a separatist movement back in 2019 called Wexit that was really starting to grow.
57:11
And then I got right on the ground there filming that group at that time.
60:37
But just for those that don't understand how Alberta is so different from from other parts of Canada, what makes it different in your mind?
1:27
So was that a passion first, or?
1:29
Yeah, I mean, you can find photographs of me around two and a half years old, three, inside a Pampers box that I'd made a television set.
1:39
And so, I mean, I...
1:40
This is a born, not bred, kind of thing.
1:42
I made, tried to make my first stop-motion film when I was about six, uh, with, you know, Star Wars action figures and a camera.
1:50
And then my parents got me a camera young, uh, 'cause it, I would just sit and stare at the magazines to try to get one.
1:56
Remember the Fisher-Price one? I don't know if you remember.
