The modern marketing formula is dominated by appealing to and engaging with a gamified consumer.
0:31
Hi, my name is Matt Edelman.
0:34
I am the CEO and President of Super League Enterprise Inc., a NASDAQ company under the ticker SLE.
0:44
We are a gaming media company.
0:46
We help brands and agencies reach and influence people who play video games because we understand the gamified consumer mindset.
1:06
When we talk about the gamified consumer, we mean the consumer who is presented on a daily basis, and in some case, even an hourly basis with content and information inside of an app or platform driven by algorithms that gamify a consumer's interaction with that content and information.
3:25
more.
8:20
How do we measure this?
8:23
That's a great question.
8:24
I think I'll back up and just say that we think of marketing and its association with gaming and gaming media as really living either inside of a game, adjacent to a game, or connected to content about gaming.
8:43
All of those are important and effectively enable a comprehensive approach to the gaming ecosystem and the 3.5 billion people in the world and more than 200 million people in the U.S. who play video games.
9:01
By the way, it's worth noting there are more people in the U.S. under the age of 45, 8 out of 10, who play video games Then there are sports fans in the US under the age of 45, seven out of 10.
9:16
So the audience is extraordinary and thinking of it as an audience that can be reached through all three of those components is very important.
9:24
The same way that when a brand thinks of reaching audiences in sports, they will think about working with a league or a team and marketing through content that is sports oriented on YouTube or running, to your point earlier, ads inside of a Super Bowl.

26:02
Is that something you're seeing? And what kind of industry specifically they need to put all their focus on creating their presence over there?
1:54
So we go back quite a ways, but for those that don't know you, could you share a little bit of your story and connect the dots for them?
2:02
Sure.
2:02
So I am a native New Yorker, but outside of Manhattan.
2:06
Grew up outside of the city, uh, and, uh, went to school here in the Northeast, then, uh, decided I should try getting a job, um, in the same types of places that were recruiting across college campuses, which at that juncture in history was not as robust as the number of companies and, and breadth of, of, uh, industries, uh, who are now looking at college campuses and, and trying to recruit college grads.
2:36
So I jumped into investment banking in New York.
2:39
Quickly figured out that was not for me.
2:42
Um, liked what I was learning, did not like what I was doing.
4:20
[laughs]
