So, um, all vets were doing a lot of pre-sale endoscopy and repeated endoscopy because in those days, we had no ways to record the endoscopy, so you only had [coughs] a flexible endoscope that you looked down, and so each vet needed its own opinion.

And, um, so a horse could easily be scoped 25, 30 times before a sale.

Um, e- as far as I know, video endoscopy lodged in repository, uh, started in Arqana, and that is because of, um, the rule, the French rural code that always supersedes, uh, the conditions of sales there, whereby a horse can be returned, uh, for up to 30 days if he is sold with any concealed condition.

So by, by creating a repository with a number of radiograph- graphic views, but also a recording of the laryngeal function, um, it allowed vendors to make it open to all vet- veterinary surgeons and prospective purchasers that, um, the, the function was there and therefore the horse was not returnable.
